Monserrate Da Gama Policy

Monserrate Da Gama Policy

Effective Date: September 2025

At Monserrate, we offer a unique opportunity to our customers: the chance to receive a one-of-one watch, completely at random, featuring special design elements that make it distinct from all other production pieces. This policy outlines how the Da Gama works and should be read alongside our other store policies.

1. What is the Da Gama?

The Da Gama is a single, one-of-one watch within a release that includes unique elements differing from the standard production design. The exact nature of these elements may vary by release and can change without prior notice.

2. Can the Da Gama be ordered or reserved?

No. The Da Gama is not available to order or reserve. It is awarded at random to a customer who has purchased the standard watch from that release.

3. How many Da Gamas will there be?

There will be exactly one Da Gama per colourway (colorway) in each release.
Example: If the release includes the Manueline Lioz and Valverde colourways, there will be one Da Gama Lioz and one Da Gama Valverde. Selection for each is conducted independently.

4. How is the lucky customer selected?

Each release is limited to a finite number of individually numbered watches (e.g., 150 per colourway). A random number generator is used to select the specific edition number that will be the Da Gama. The customer who completes the order for that edition number will be notified and offered the Da Gama.

5. Do you have to accept the Da Gama?

No. The selected customer may accept or decline the Da Gama:

  • If accepted, the Da Gama watch will be shipped to the customer.
  • If declined, the customer will receive the standard watch as advertised.

The customer’s choice will be confirmed via email. All choices made are final and binding.

6. Is there any extra cost?

No. There is no additional cost to receive the Da Gama. It includes a special edition box and packaging.

7. What else do you receive if selected?

In addition to the one-of-one Da Gama watch and special edition box/packaging, and depending on the customer’s location and availability, you may be eligible for a complimentary photo shoot of the one-of-one watch. No customer photos or personal information will be shared without prior consent.

8. Will the public be notified when the Da Gama has been awarded?

Yes. After the final watch in the series has been sold, we will publicly announce the edition number that was selected as the Da Gama. This timing ensures that the chance remains equal for all purchasers during the sales period. The customer’s identity will not be disclosed without consent.

9. Is the Da Gama really one-of-one?

Yes. For each release and colourway, there is only one Da Gama. Each release bears a unique identifying mark indicating the edition (e.g., an engraving on the rehaut ring):

  • Example: The first release of Manueline Lioz and Valverde may be engraved with “1”. If a future release occurs, it may bear “2”. Each release’s Da Gama will carry the corresponding edition engraving.
  • Consequently, for the first edition, there will only ever be one Lioz Da Gama and one Valverde Da Gama; the same applies to subsequent editions.
